RRB JE, DMS & CMA Recruitment 2026: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has updated the Centralised Employment Notice (CEN No. 04/2026) for the recruitment of Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) posts across various Railway Zones.
As per Corrigendum-1, the total vacancies have been increased from 3,993 to 4,029 (adding 35 CMA posts and 1 JE post). Online applications opened on August 14, 2026, and candidates can submit their forms until September 13, 2026. Eligibility Criteria
1. Age Limit (As on 01.01.2027)

Minimum Age: 18 Years

Maximum Age: 33 Years

Upper age relaxations apply for reserved categories (SC/ST: 5 years, OBC-NCL: 3 years, PwBD: 10–15 years).
2. Educational Qualifications
-
For Junior Engineer (JE): 3-year Diploma or B.E. / B.Tech Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, IT, or relevant Engineering streams.

For Depot Material Superintendent (DMS): Diploma or Engineering Degree in any discipline / Diploma in Material Management.

For Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA): B.Sc. Degree in Physics and Chemistry with a minimum of 45% marks from a recognized university.
Note: Candidates awaiting final results of their educational qualification by the closing date (September 13, 2026) are not eligible to apply.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of four distinct stages:

1st Stage CBT (Screening Test): General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Science.

2nd Stage CBT (Technical Test): Technical Abilities relevant to the chosen Exam Group along with non-technical subjects.

Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates at a 1:1 ratio based on CBT-2 performance.

Medical Examination: Compliance with post-wise medical standards.
Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark will be deducted for each wrong answer in both CBT-1 and CBT-2.
Application Fee & Refund

General / OBC / EWS: ₹500/- (₹400/- refunded after appearing in Stage 1 CBT).

SC / ST / ExSM / PwBD / Female / Minorities / EBC: ₹250/- (Full ₹250/- refunded after appearing in Stage 1 CBT).
